In 2015, two engineering students from George Mason University created an acoustic fire extinguisher, which is able to put out fires by only using sound waves.
Since the sound-based extinguisher is chemical- and water-free, it can lower the cost of extinguishing a fire. Initially intended for kitchen fires, there are a wide range of other applications, including wildfires and fire space fighting. The former can prevent the spread of wildfire at the boundary and buy more time for firefighters; the latter can solve the problem of difficulty in focusing the material on the firebrand without gravity.
Maeden already holds a high market share in speaker wire. Our technology is very transferable to this new application.
