Discover The Future of Flexible Wire Solutions

[Quick Navigation]

In Industries where reliability and precision are paramount, MAEDEN’s reliable, high-quality, durable, flexible wires come at the top. They are engineered to meet the rigorous demands of sectors such as aerospace, automotive, and more.

We are passionate about providing our clients with a range of flexible wire solutions that ensure unmatched durability, optimal performance, and longevity in even the most dynamic applications.

What Is Flexible Wire?

Many also refer to flexible wire as bend-resistant wire, but there are several similar terms that highlight its unique characteristics. For example:

  • Flex-resistant wire: Emphasizes the wire's ability to withstand repeated bending.

  • Bend-proof wire: Refers to the wire with properties that prevent bending damage.

  • Bending durable wire: Describes wire that remains durable even after repeated bending.

  • Anti-bend wire: Directly expresses the wire’s resistance to bending.

  • Kink-resistant wire: Refers to wire that prevents kinking or twisting when bent.

  • Fatigue-resistant wire: Highlights the wire’s resilience to fatigue and bending over long-term use.

  • Durable wire: Although not solely about bending, emphasizes the wire's overall durability.

However, such a broad definition may seem insufficiently specific. MAEDEN further defines it as:

"a balance between flexibility and reliability tailored to meet the specific demands of dynamic applications."

Flexible wire, also known as dynamic wire (as opposed to static wire), is designed to bend and twist without losing electrical conductivity. Unlike single solid conductors, flexible wires typically consist of multiple fine strands.

Some advanced designs incorporate tinsel wires, where copper foil is rolled into thin strips and wrapped around aramid fibers, significantly enhancing flexibility and performance in dynamic applications. From MAEDEN's perspective, a wire can only be considered a Flexible Wire if it passes the dynamic requirements of the customer's specific scenario.

Advantages Over Solid Wire

Versatile Applications Across Industries

Because of their adaptability and versatility, flexible wires are used in various industries. Here are some examples:

In-Ear monitor

Wire breakage or poor audio performance are common problems with in-ear monitors. This mainly happens due to the traditional wire. However, flexible wire provides durability and reliability. It ensures consistent audio performance and extends the lifespan of the equipment.

MAEDEN’s Flexible Wire Offerings

Product Range and Specifications

  • Single Wire: It is a wire made from one continuous strand of wire. It's simple and effective for many applications.

  • Stranded Wire: It is made from several small wires twisted together. It provides good flexibility and is commonly used in electronics.

  • Braided Wire: As the name indicates, it is made from multiple small wires braided together, which increases its flexibility and durability.

  • Single Tinsel Wire: This type is composed of a single strand of fine flexible wire. It’s very flexible and suitable for delicate applications.

  • Stranded Tinsel Wire: Features many fine strands twisted together, providing excellent flexibility and resilience.

  • Braided Tinsel Wire: It consists of fine flexible wires braided together, offering high flexibility and durability for dynamic uses.

Custom Solutions for Your Needs

客製方案

MAEDEN understand that every project has unique requirements.

That's why we offer customized flexible wire solutions tailored to your specific needs.

When requesting a custom solution, please provide details on:

  1. Wire Gauge: Specify the exact outer diameter you require for your project.

  2. Resistance: Let us know the resistance levels needed to ensure optimal performance.

  3. Application Scenario: Describe the environment where the wire will be used, such as temperature, humidity, and potential exposure to chemicals, and most importantly, the movements.

  4. Expected Lifespan: Share your expectations for how long the wire should last under the application scenario.

  5. Post-Processing Requirements: Inform us of the process when you receive the wire, such as solder, crimp and its conditions.

Unmatched Flexibility And Durability

At MAEDEN, we understand the importance of flexible wire for various applications. That’s why we offer a simulated lifespan test report for our clients. This test measures how our wires handle continuous bending and twisting over time. Further, it gives you confidence in their durability and flexibility
